The Museum Of Everyday Life is currently taking applications for a PAID summer arts program June 23rd- July 18th,  2025, for young people between the ages of 13 and 17.

During the first week of the summer program participants will attend an intensive training focused on how to look at objects, how to guide others in the experience of interpreting the exhibits, how to create and perform 20 minute museum tours, and how to answer questions from the public.

Subsequently, each participant will work 4 – 6 hours per week as a docent in the museum, greeting visitors and giving tours, accompanied by a museum staff mentor who will offer support and guidance. Applicants should be curious about the prospect of exploring what it means to work in a museum, and excited about everyday objects. No other experience is required!

This program is offering a stipend of $450, which will be given to participants upon completion of the program. Participants must be available for the training days June 23rd-28th, and then at least one day a week for the subsequent 3 weeks. All participants should participate in the closing day celebration of the program Friday July 18th.
