Graduation Info
May 1: The application for local scholarships will be available on Monday, May 1. There are many other scholarships available on the Scholarships page.
May 30: The Senior Checkout Form will be available on May 30th in the guidance office. All of your books (textbooks, library, etc.), laptops, chargers and cords, etc., must be returned or paid for before graduation. The form is due to Mrs. Cooney no later than Friday, June 9.
May 31: Caps and gowns will be available for pickup from 11-1 in the library lobby area. The cost is $23. Do not iron your gown!
May 30: Tickets for graduation can be obtained from Mrs. Cooney in the guidance office starting May 30 when she signs your completed Senior Checkout Form. Each student will receive 5 tickets in case graduation must be held indoors. Weather permitting, graduation will be outside and no tickets will be necessary. The decision about whether graduation will be in the gym or outside will be made Friday afternoon and all families will be notified.
June 8 & 9: MANDATORY MARCHING PRACTICE will be June 8 & 9 starting at 1pm and lasting until everyone gets it, usually two hours on the first day. Please plan ahead. Students will be marching alphabetically by last name. Participation in practice is required to participate in the graduation ceremony.
June 10: Graduation is June 10th at 11am. You must be in the GMTCC CEC room no later than 10 am. Yes, you should bring your cap and gown. The graduation speaker is Lamoille Union's English teacher, Mr. Keith McKenna.
July 1: Your school email address will cease to exist on Monday, June 12. Please plan accordingly.

Senior and Baby Photos: Must be in JPEG format. Larger file sizes preferred. DO NOT screenshot an image on your phone.
Senior Write-up: 650 character limit, including spaces, no naughty words or acronyms. If your write-up is deemed inappropriate or is too long, you will be contacted to change it.
Senior write-up format example:
Clubs & Activities: Baseball, Softball, Hunting, Homework
Friends: John, Mary, Big Bird, etc.
Senior Will: Thanks mom and dad for everything you have done for me. I truly appreciate it even though I leave my dirty laundry everywhere. Thanks Mrs. Frankfurter for teaching me cursive. My future plans are to attend so and so university and/or get a high paying job so I can pay my parents back for that car loan.

Enrollment Deadline: Any senior enrolled at LUHS before the end of the first semester, January 20, 2023, will be included in the yearbook if they provide all of the necessary photos, etc.

Dr. Alice Agney Scholarship for Leadership and Service
Green Mountain Fraternal Order of Eagles: The Green Mountain Fraternal Order of Eagles in Jeffersonville is accepting applications for two achievement/scholarships they offer. The Robbie Pollander and the Edison A. Reynolds Awards. Both in the amount of $500. These awards can be used by the recipients for anything school related, from books to transportation, or classes to clothing. They are available to any high school graduating senior in Lamoille County. Our awards are not based on academics. They are granted to any high school senior that expresses the qualities of a good citizen in their community with the desire to pursue a higher education. Requirements for consideration are: the submission of a biography and a theme based short essay. The theme is "In my community, people helping people." All entries are due postmarked by May 31, 2022. There is an additional scholarship available from the Auxiliary specifically for female students. The criteria is the same as above. All entries should be submitted to Ladies Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles, P. O. Box 326, Jeffersonville, VT 05464-0216
